Remember When - one of the nation's favourite matinee shows comes to the New Theatre Oxford this August

Proving That Nostalgia Really Is What It Used To Be At a time when many older people are uncomfortable being out of their homes at night, but find themselves longing for television programmes that entertain rather than the current trend of reality shows and phone-ins, it is refreshing to see a theatre show proving that nostalgia really is as good as it used to be and that yesteryear’s songs are as popular as ever. The 'Remember When' show, which promises over two hours of music, memories and good old fashioned fun is in its fourth year of touring theatres, and with a brand new production for 2010 will be appearing at the New Theatre Oxford on Tuesday 10th August. So if you fondly remember the time when songs had words you could sing along to, when it took five minutes to warm up the telly, or you never had to lock your front door, then this is the perfect entertainment for you. 'Remember When' presents a wonderful feel-good afternoon guaranteed to get you smiling and singing, featuring many magical musical memories from the 40s, 50s and 60s. With a whole host of songs made famous by the likes of Doris Day, Bing Crosby, Julie Andrews, Max Bygraves, Vera Lynn, Elvis Presley and many more, the show also includes a very special tribute in honour of the 65th Anniversary of V E Day. The show is produced and hosted by the former British Heavyweight television wrestling star Neil Sands, who with his warm stage presence, great voice and fun personality, mixes the music with humour and nostalgia, making it a show which will warm everyone’s hearts. Neil will be joined in the show by two very talented young ladies who have both graced the West End stage. Both Gemma Turner & Lauren Atkins have outstanding voices and great personalities.
