BETT 2013 PREVIEW RELEASE

The market leader in secondary learning platforms, Frog is launching its new technology at BETT 2013. Built from the ground up it’s a world class education operating system that will power the Frog product range.

This new operating system is compatible with the latest Apple and Android devices and is built specifically for tablet devices. Teachers will be able to create exciting interactive resources from their sofa, glass of wine in hand, using an iPad or Android device.

Frog has always been simple to use but now it will be even easier as it’s modelled on the very latest technology that matches everyone’s online experience in the real world.

The features in the new operating system include various assessment tools, built under the guidance of renowned educator, Alistair Smith. Investing in this area shows Frog’s commitment to schools and their need to achieve their Ofsted or ISI requirements.

Gareth Davies, Managing Director at Frog says: “After a period of uncertainty in the UK market, Frog brings a new era of technology to schools and signals the beginning of a new and exciting journey. This journey will lead to huge advances in personalised learning, totally changing the way we teach and learn.”

He added: “Developing this new software has incurred significant development costs and pushes us beyond any existing learning platform technology. Frog will continue to invest heavily into this new education centred operating system, and has already committed substantial resources to implement the plans for the next two years.”

This new technology is already being used in Malaysia as a cloud based product, connected by 4G, serving 10 million people across 10,000 schools.

And there’s more. Frog will be announcing frog.me, an online system that records key stages of educational development from primary to higher education and beyond. This will be free of charge and available to everyone.

Frog will be joined on stand D100 by I Am Learning, who has recently joined the Frog family. I Am Learning will be showcasing a number of new features at BETT 2013, including an updated multi-player game pack, tablet friendly interfaces and revision planners.
