PREVIEW RELEASE - THE ACADEMIES SHOW: BIRMINGHAM

The UK’s leading learning platform provider, Frog, is advising academies on how to get the most out their technology investments at The Academies Show in November on stand 73.

“The key is cross-academy collaboration,” explains Tim Peers, Academies Sales Manager at Frog. “Currently, many groups have a number of different learning platforms across their academies and it amazes me that they don’t use the same technology across the board. Although individual academies will clearly have their own way of doing things, using several different systems makes it more difficult to have continuity in the groups’ vision across every site.” He adds: “Groups could save a lot of money by maintaining one learning platform across every academy.”

As well as promoting a unified brand and saving costs, cross-academy collaboration can also improve best practice. With an academy group using one learning platform, teachers and students can share information much more freely, supporting and helping each other to achieve their full potential.

One group that recently implemented Frog across all its academies explains, “We had several academies on different sites, and whilst they all operated similarly, they could not easily share ideas or resources.” They continue, “Uniting all the academies under one learning platform really helped them work more closely. Staff and students now have access to a wider range of learning resources, which has reduced duplication of effort and made us operate more consistently.”

Frog is constantly developing more efficient ways for schools to collaborate and share best practice. The company has developed the world's first learning platform designed specifically for tablets. This means teachers can create and share resources, update lessons plans and mark homework on any device, anytime, anywhere. The new technology is a real game changer in education and will be available early next year.

“Of course, its not just about academies working together to share best practice,” continues Tim, “academies need a learning platform that’s perfectly suited to their needs, which is where Frog’s school improvement services come in.”

Each school and academy is now assigned a dedicated contact from the moment they buy Frog, who will stay with them throughout their entire journey. The contact will train them on the new technology, support them with implementation and make sure they get the most out of their new learning platform.
