BETT 2013 PREVIEW RELEASE

New kid on the block, MediaCore will be showcasing its cloud-based video publishing platform designed to help schools, universities and companies create a truly inclusive and engaging online learning experience, manage their own video library, and share their content securely with specified users. To celebrate the launch of MediaCore in the UK the company is giving away free teacher and professor accounts to visitors that register on its stand F319.

Eagerly adopted by educational institutions in the UK and US, MediaCore enables video content to be created using a standard video recorder. User created content can be uploaded via MediaCore’s iOS app for iPhones, iPads or the iPod Touch. Content can be accessed from any mobile device or PC, providing students with flexible anytime, anywhere learning.

New to the MediaCore platform are several key features including MediaCore HybridCache. This innovative on-site solution allows institutions with limited bandwidth to enjoy the full MediaCore experience with ease and efficiency.

With Learning Platform Integration, institutions can incorporate MediaCore’s powerful video learning tools seamlessly into their existing online learning platform - including Moodle, SharePoint, BlackBoard and Google.

Also new is Related Files, which enables additional learning content to be uploaded alongside videos - from e-textbook files to PDFs and beyond.

Adrian de Montfalcon, Managing Director of MediaCore comments: “Video is a powerful medium for educating and engaging visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners simultaneously in an inclusive environment. It can be used by both teachers and professors, along with pupils and students to add a new dimension to teaching and learning through on-demand personalised content.”

MediaCore’s Educators-in-Residence will be on hand at BETT to provide demonstrations and discuss the benefits of video learning, providing teachers with practical advice and top tips on how to introduce it into the classroom.
