New cloud based platform for physical activity tracking from Olympic suppliers - Technogym stand D320

Technogym, leading producer of health and fitness equipment (stand D320), is launching mywellness cloud, a web-based platform that allows students working out in the gym to capture their physical activity data, track progression and compete against other individuals, classes or even schools. Held securely on the cloud, data can be accessed anytime anywhere via mobile phone, ipad or pc.
Also new is Technogym’s integrated web platform on its cardiovascular machines, developed to enable students to continue with their studies whilst working out. The integrated touchscreen HD-ready console can access online learning resources allowing students to gain additional qualifications even through core PE classes. All core curriculum subjects can be followed, making it perfect for gifted and talented students and for those who require a change of scene outside the classroom in order to focus.
Schools with limited budgets keen to see their students learn as they work out, can opt for Technogym’s latest cardiovascular Forma range of treadmills, bikes and cross trainers. Priced at a more cost-effective entry point than its HD console counterpart – the Forma range allows users to replace the HD console with their own ipad. Data is sent from the Technogym console to the user’s ipad via Bluetooth.
Last but not least is Technogym’s MyWellness Key, a small device featuring an internal accelerometer designed to measure the physical activity of students on the go. With the ability to monitor the intensity of exercise inside and outside of the gym, the MyWellness Key is the ideal physical activity data collection system for any school. When plugged into Technogym equipment, it also collects the data from the workout programme that the user is following. All data from the gym workout, general movement around school, or from play, is stored and accessed via the web, so can be viewed anywhere on mobiles, tablets and computers.
