Featured for the first time on the Turning Technologies stand (B214) will be a new edition of  TurningPoint 5, the easiest-to-use and most powerful audience response/polling solution to date, offering additional capabilities and an enhanced overall user experience. Also new will be Triton, a highly secure, data collection system for use in high stakes assessment.

Perfect for polling in PowerPoint®, polling in any application and self-paced polling, Turning Technologies latest version of TurningPoint 5 features a dashboard interface, giving users the option to easily access functionality in legacy applications TurningPoint, TurningPoint AnyWhere, TurningKey and ResultsManager. The dashboard provides instant management of polling, participants, content, sessions and reports. Other basic features have been redesigned with specific customer feedback in mind, including the functionality to poll directly in PowerPoint for Mac 2011. The newest version of TurningPoint 5 creates a versatile solution for assessment delivery and data collection in any environment.

With the integration of TurningPoint 5, presentations become engaging, collaborative experiences that involve audiences in real dialogue instead of pure lecture. Participants use handheld response devices, ResponseCard clickers, or Internet-connected devices via a ResponseWare application, to answer questions. Results are instantly displayed on screen and collected in detailed reports for analysis. Offering a multitude of features and a simple, familiar interface, TurningPoint has been readily adopted by secondary schools, colleges and universities.

Commenting on the new product, Mike Broderick, CEO, Turning Technologies, said, “With the new release of TurningPoint, we have added a level of sophistication and capabilities that package our desktop applications into the easiest-to-use solution for both novices and experienced users alike.”

Also new to the stand is Triton, a highly secure, low to no bandwidth data collection system that enables highly secure and robust summative assessment as well as high stakes assessment. Designed to complement Turning Technologies’ existing polling solutions, it combines the front end ease of test administration with the back end ease of having results data instantly available in an electronic format.  Ideal for use in secondary and higher education, students enter answers to test questions using ResponseCard NXT hand held clickers.  Invigilator software is stored on a USB drive and administers tests with one click.  Collected data is backed up and stored in three locations, including a central administration portal that manages all testing elements.  Triton is a secure, accurate and easy system designed to meet the needs of self-paced benchmark, course end, high stakes assessments.  Sensitive course evaluations can also be conducted in a secure manner with an easy, instantaneous process, positively impacting return rate.
