UniServity, global provider of innovative, award-winning online learning solutions, consultancy and training to over 3,000 customers, in 90 local authorities worldwide, has appointed David Blake as Head of Sales. Hosting the largest active online learning community worldwide, UniServity provides collaborative learning services to three million users across 22 countries, from the UK and USA, to Australia and Hong Kong, achieving five million page views every week.

In his new role, David will be responsible for the generation of new business and further developing relationships with existing customers. A priority is to work with and develop UniServity’s commercial and content partnerships.

With over 23 years' experience in sales, David joined the company from RM where he was Senior Territory Sales Manager, responsible for £25 million of revenue from the South East of England. Here David and his team increased active trading customers by 12 percent - an achievement he intends to exceed at UniServity.

Matt Clarke, CEO, UniServity, said: "David is an exceptionally strong sales manager with a great passion for business development and a highly successful proven track record. He joins the company at an exciting time as Web 3.0 technology comes into force enabling users to find, share, and combine information more easily. UniServity is using next generation cloud-based technology to analyse learner activity and preferences pushing pertinent information straight to their desktop."

David Blake said: "I am delighted to be joining UniServity at this time. The company is well known for its ability to customise products and services to meet the real needs of individual schools. My role is to build on our excellent customer base and maximise commercial opportunities. We need to ensure that schools are aware of how to make the best use of Web 1, Web 2, and Web 3 to provide the maximum impact for the learners of the future."

David is 42 years old and currently lives in Cambridge, but will soon be moving to Oxfordshire to be closer to UniServity’s head office. David enjoys outdoor activities, competitive tennis and spending time with his 3 children and fiancée.
