Viglen launches new all-in-one PC and showcases tailored ICT solutions at BETT 2014

Come to stand EA148 where Viglen will be launching its innovative, next generation all-in-one PC Omnino 5, which combines flexibility, choice and manageability and will be hosting a packed programme of presentations from head teachers and industry experts all focussed on helping teachers improve educational outcomes for pupils.  Visitors who attend these presentations will qualify for entry into a daily grand draw and the chance of winning a Toshiba tablet or laptop - simply fill in a form on the stand on the day. At the end of BETT Viglen will also be giving away a16GB iPad Air - visit the stand for details.  The winning entries from Viglen’s video competition for pupils on the future of IT in their schools will also be displayed. Experts from Viglen’s own dedicated schools department will be on hand to demonstrate the company’s end-to-end IT solutions for schools and explain how its flexible and reliable ICT solutions can help pupils engage with a school’s learning objectives and deliver cross-curricular teaching for staff. Visitors can also check out Viglen’s Vigcloud central learning platform, Classlink classroom management software and a range of mobile devices and PCs.

Head teachers from state, private, free schools and academies will share their experiences of using Viglen technology as teaching tools, and speakers from leading IT developers Microsoft, Toshiba, Meru, Hitachi, alongside NEC, Lightspeed and Qwizdom, will update visitors on products to accelerate and improve learning. Presentations will include; ‘Making modern traditions with the use of IT at Harrow’ by the school’s director of IT, Dr Christopher O’Mahoney; ‘Embedding the effective use of technology in teaching and learning at Bedford Academy’; ‘Innovative personal laptop scheme supporting 1:1 learning at Perins Academy’ and ‘Evolving Primary School Education though the innovative use of IT at The Mead Primary School’. Alan Duddey, business development manager at Qwizdom will discuss how the company’s audience response systems help to engage learners, an expert from Microsoft Education will discuss ‘The future of the learning space’ and NEC will round up and demonstrate all the latest on video walls and classroom projectors. Also making their debut on the stand will be the Toshiba Excite Pure 10.1” touchscreen android tablet with LearnPad connect, the Z30/40/50 ultrabook series, the new Windows 8 8” tablet and the Satellite Pro NB10 11.6” notebook.  Viglen’s full product line up including Genie desktops, Genie Ultra, Omnino and Integra ranges will also be making an appearance.
