Online sales of natural products to benefit women affected by breast cancer

LIVING BEYOND BREAST CANCER AND ABE’S MARKET ANNOUNCE FUNDRAISING PARTNERSHIP

October 25, 2012; Philadelphia, PA | Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) has announced a partnership with AbesMarket.com that will provide this Charity Navigator four-star rated nonprofit headquartered in suburban Philadelphia with funding to support its educational resources and support services. Through October 31st a percent of online sales at AbesMarket.com will be donated to LBBC.

AbesMarket.com, co-founded by best friends Richard Demb and Jon Polin in 2010, is an online market for remarkable natural and organic products,. The site features over 1,000 sellers.

“What impressed us about Abe’s Market was its philosophy concerning health and wellness,” says Jean Sachs, MSS, MLSP & CEO of Living Beyond Breast Cancer. “For women diagnosed with breast cancer, healthy lifestyle choices are a key factor in maintaining the best possible quality of life.”

“This October, we’ve partnered with LBBC to not only raise awareness but to also make an immediate impact in the lives of women affected by breast cancer,” said Demb and Polin in a joint statement. “LBBC provides these women with immediate emotional help and comprehensive information to help them move beyond their diagnosis throughout treatment, recovery or disease management.”

Founded in 1991, LBBC is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. Programs and services include an educational website (lbbc.org), a toll-free Survivors’ Helpline at (888) 753-LBBC (5222), national conferences, free teleconferences and networking programs, quarterly newsletters, publications for medically underserved women, healthcare-provider trainings, recordings and the Paula A. Seidman Library & Resource Center.
