An historic event is about to take place in Kiruna. It's now time to relocate parts of a city.
Save the dates 1-3 September! We welcome you to a three-day celebration. The official inauguration takes place on Saturday, 2 September.
A more detailed press invitation will be sent in August, but we wish to take this opportunity to let you know that we are planning a big celebration. On 1 September new commercial premises will be opened in city quarters 7, 8 and 9.
There will be plenty of activities for the whole family, including performances by several major artists and others to showcase the diversity of Kiruna and its many other attractive features.
If you wish to speak with local merchants or project managers prior to this event, please send an enquiry to ulrika.huhtaniska@lkab.com or info@lkab.com. The area is a work site. No unauthorized personnel will be permitted to enter the area for interviews or to take photos before the official opening without prior authorisation and a guide.
