Staff at Camberley based Housing Association, Accent Peerless Ltd, celebrated Royal Ascot week in style to raise money for the Stroke Association. Last Thursday (Royal Ascot Ladies Day), staff were encouraged to come into work wearing fancy hats and outfits and held a cake sale and raffle which raised nearly £200 for the national charity. Jayne Godolphin, Head of Human Resources explained, “ As our offices are located next to Camberley Station we admire people catching the train to Royal Ascot from our office windows every year, so thought this would make a great theme to help us fundraise for our chosen charity The Stroke Association. We all really enjoyed the opportunity to dress up in hats for the day and I am really pleased we have been able to help the Stoke Association. We hope to be able to do it all over again next year!” If you would like to add to the collection for the Stroke Association Accent Peerless will be pleased to forward on any donations. Please send cheques made payable to The Stroke Association into Jayne Godolphin, Accent Peerless Ltd, Station House, 1 Pembroke Broadway, Camberley, Surrey GU15 3XD by Friday 10th July 2009 .
