IT and training specialist Taylor Made Computer Solutions is celebrating after receiving the Investors in People Gold standard – the only organisation in Hampshire to be awarded the top accolade and the only company in the computer industry sector, throughout the South East, to be commended. According to the stringent criteria met by Taylor Made, the Investors in People Gold standard represents achievement of world class best practice. As at July 2009 less than 1 in 1000 of IIP recognised organisations in the UK has achieved this standard. The award is even more of a celebration for the 84-strong, Fareham-based company as staff members are also celebrating the company’s 15th year in business. Having been formed in 1994 by Managing Director Nigel Taylor, Taylor Made is a Microsoft Gold certified partner and achieved 8th in the Sunday Times list of 100 best small companies to work for in 2008. Nigel Taylor said: “This is yet another moment in the business where I will sit back in years to come and be exceptionally proud. It couldn’t have been achieved without the commitment of our talented workforce, including our training division Taylor Made Training Solutions.” He added: “I believe this award is a really successful case of practising what we preach. We make excellent use of our own training materials and qualified training staff to the benefit of the whole company. We really take pride in the fact that our staff our exceptionally well-trained and it is actually our own people who are doing the training!” The extended Investors in People Gold Standard framework provides businesses with much greater breadth and depth of business improvement guidance. -ENDS- Words - 279
