Fareham Shopping Centre has reported that its busiest Saturday this year was on 20 June, the day before Father’s Day. Footfall statistics also revealed that the rest of the week prior to Father’s Day attracted shoppers by the thousands with over 145,000 passing through the Centre’s doors, an 8% rise on the average weekly figures recorded so far this year. Pam Gillard, Centre Manager commented: “Fareham Shopping Centre really does make shopping easy. It is the ideal destination to purchase cards and gifts as we have a wide range of top name stores to choose from, all on one level. I’m unsure why Father’s Day has been more popular this year than any other calendar event, but it is an encouraging sign that consumer confidence maybe on the rise.” She added: “Shopping for men can be particular difficult for most people. The Centre and its stores were keen to show shoppers the wide range of gift ideas available and we were clearly successful. A combination of choice, convenience and quality means Fareham is fast becoming a shopping destination of choice.” -Ends- Words: 174 Notes to the Editor For further editorial information about Fareham Shopping Centre please contact Colin Bridgman at Logical Creative Marketing on 0845 345 6969 or email colin@lcm.co.uk To contact the Centre Manager direct call Pam Gillard on 01329 822506.
