Making PR Perfect: Local marketing expert co-authors unique PR workshop

Lizz Clarke, Managing Director of Fareham-based marketing agency LCM, has co-authored a new training workshop for business people who wish to raise their game in public relations. It cleverly teaches how to deliver PR successfully to the benefit of both the business and the media, to ensure the two parties get from it what they need. She advocates that this mutually beneficial approach will reap the best marketing results for anyone. Lizz has teamed up with experienced editor, author and journalist Peter Bartram to write the course, ‘Perfect Public Relations Masterclass.’ The two met when Peter was invited to run training at LCM and they discovered they shared the same frustrations about the poor way in which many companies carry out their PR activities. It was evident that with Peter’s understanding of editing and publishing, and Lizz’s experience of business and marketing, the two were ideally suited to pool their knowledge and build the ideal training solution. Lizz, who was a trainer with training giant Dale Carnegie before setting up the Marketing Agency, commented: “ “PR is a big recession buster. To ignore it could be hugely detrimental in this economic climate and this course is perfectly timed to assist all those who are seeking to get more out of their PR.” The master class has been designed primarily for companies who do their own PR and want to sharpen their in-house skills, but it will also benefit those who outsource to an agency. “Agencies are able to work even greater wonders if their clients are in-tune with the PR function,” says Lizz. The course offers an extremely comprehensive guide to how to carry out the PR function. It covers PR strategy, explaining in detail both what to do and when. The next course is on Wednesday 2nd September in Fareham and another is planned for Wednesday 28 October in London. Lizz and Peter will also deliver in-house courses by appointment.
