Two partners receive individual recommendations

For the fourth year running, Newbury law firm, Gardner Leader LLP has maintained its strong presence in the Legal 500 directory, receiving rankings again for the exemplary work of its corporate/commercial, commercial litigation, family, personal injury and commercial property teams. Published for over twenty years, the Legal 500 provides the most comprehensive guide to UK legal services and is widely regarded as offering the definitive judgement of law firm capabilities. Two partners also receive individual recommendations. Derek Rodgers, Commercial Partner, received a recommendation for his high-quality corporate and commercial work which includes acquisitions and disposals, MBOs, MBIs, partnership and shareholder issues. Derek also has significant experience in venture capital work and has been involved in the formation and launch of a number of venture capital funds. In particular, the Directory cited his work with Aberdeen Asset Managers in relation to their appointment to manage the £31.5m Capital for Enterprise investment fund. Derek’s recommendation describes him as a lawyer who ‘performs brilliantly’ and is ‘technically sound with broad knowledge and an excellent understanding of complex issues’. Also recommended for the high standard of his commercial litigation work was ‘the knowledgeable and pleasant’ Chris Felton, Dispute Resolution Partner, who has vast experience in advising leading companies. His knowledge of the legal issues relating to Directors’ duties and interests, Shareholder rights, breach of warranty, contractual claims and product liability actions in the Technology and Construction Courts has led to his involvement in many high-profile cases in recent years. Partner Derek Rodgers is delighted with Gardner Leader’s listing and comments: “Gardner Leader has worked with some leading local and national businesses over the past year. Knowing that the Legal 500 draws on the experiences of our clients and others who have worked with us, we are very proud that our firm continues to feature and receive such positive rankings.” -Ends- Word Count: 327
