Once upon a Tuesday!

To combat the end-of-holiday blues, Fareham Shopping Centre is inviting young shoppers to a ‘Story Time Tuesday’ event on 31st August. Little ones can settle down and listen to a selection of stories being read to them, and afterwards they can take part in some arts and crafts activities, all absolutely free.

What’s more, everyone who attends will have the chance to win a £10 book voucher in an hourly prize draw, courtesy of the Centre. Stories begin at 2pm, then 3pm and again at 4pm inside Waterstone’s, who are providing their story telling expertise as well as lots of arts equipment to keep the fun going. For Centre Director, Pam Marsden, events such as these are an important part of the Centre’s ongoing events’ calendar. She explains: “It’s so difficult for parents to find things for kids to do, especially towards the end of the holidays. We’ve a packed schedule of free children’s fun planned for the rest of the year and beyond, starting with our Story Time on Tuesday, and followed by Face Painting Fun on Sunday 5th September.” There are more Story Time Tuesday dates planned for the future and shoppers should keep their eyes open for details in the Centre, or visit www.farehamshopping.com.
