Entrepreneurs and business owners network to grow their businesses

A business event designed to provide SMEs, entrepreneurs and owner-managers with support and advice on how to grow their businesses while developing their own personal business skills, is being held at the Lakeside International Hotel, Frimley Green, Surrey on Tuesday 23 November and will be repeated at The Rose Bowl, Botley Road, West End, Southampton on Thursday 25 November. The events have been arranged by Fareham-based organisation, PLATO GB, which uses the principle and power of peer to peer learning in groups of like-minded people of between 12 and 15 members, who meet regularly to share experiences and skills. The PLATO Programme is designed for SMEs, Entrepreneurs and owner-managers of businesses that have been in existence for more than three years, with a turnover in excess of £1million and employing ten or more staff. By working together and utilising each others experience to manage and resolve issues, the group are able to tap into the wide range of knowledge garnered from their fellow members and increase their individual learning. Speaking for the organisation, PLATO’s Programmes Director, Rachel Cheetham, commented: “I look forward to meeting many potential participants for our PLATO Programme at the Lakeside and The Rose Bowl next week. We will explain how our Programme works and provide information on how previous participants have benefited from undertaking the Programme; some have seen a 34% growth in turnover and others a 33% increase in new jobs created, but these are just the tip of the iceberg.” The events at the Lakeside and The Rose Bowl will be held between 5.30pm and 7pm.
