Shopping Centre’s Showcase of FUN raises funds for RSPCA animal shelter

Fun was had by all during a weekend of juggling, magic and crazy antics. Fareham Shopping Centre dazzled young shoppers with a whole host of acts and entertainers last weekend, and in doing so raised nearly £300 for the RSPCA’s Stubbington Ark. Kids and their families delighted at Robbie the Wizard, who mesmerised children with magic tricks, as well as the crazy antics from Punch and Judy who held regular shows throughout Saturday and Sunday. Mr Tall wowed fans with his amazing balloon sculptures and juggling plus Denise the face painter busily made-up children’s faces in all manner of creative and colourful designs. Music, competitions and a prize tombola all added to the fun atmosphere. Vanessa Eden from Stubbington Ark helped out on both days and commented: “We are very grateful to Fareham Shopping Centre for all their hard work in organising such a wonderful weekend, and also to the shoppers who donated so generously. Stubbington Ark receives no government funding or lottery grants, so we rely on charity donations to keep the Centre running.” Although the entertainment is over, there is still £30 worth of book vouchers from Waterstone’s to be won. The Centre’s magic spot-the-difference competition runs until 5pm on Saturday 24th April and entrants have until then to return their entries to the entry box opposite Vision Express.
