14/07/2009 A leading Hampshire employer has bought in anti-swine flu kits for all 90 members of staff in response to the rise in the number of swine flu cases in Hampshire. Nigel Taylor, Managing Director of Taylor Made Computer Solutions has made it clear there are no cases within the company; he merely wants to protect his workforce. He said: “Taylor Made is a service company. We meet different people everyday and visit different environments. Our staff members are potentially exposed and I have a responsibility to them and our clients. The feedback has been positive, we haven’t caused alarm and we’re not over-reacting. We need to be realistic and I think giving out special packs is a practical step. ” The packs include anti-bacterial hand wash, anti-bacterial wipes for desks and working areas, face masks and tissues. There are also special dispensers around the Taylor Made offices where staff members can dispose of tissues safely and hygienically. Nigel Taylor added: “We already have in place procedures and systems whereby any staff member, whether that be our own or our clients’ employees, can from work from home if needed.” 64 cases of swine flu have been officially recorded in Hampshire, 598 across the south east but health experts believe there to be many more and as many as 1 in every 2 people could suffer from the outbreak in the coming months. -ENDS- Words - Notes to editors Taylor Made Computer Solutions (TMCS) is an exciting and growing specialist computer solutions company based in Fareham, Hampshire, providing complete professional IT and Training solutions for businesses varying in size from small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), right through to multinational companies.
