Loqware presents complete product family at CeBit
Loqware presents complete product family at CeBit At the CeBit fair Gothenburg-based Loqware will take the final step in the market launch of its products. The company will be presenting five different products, which are based on its patented electronic locks, I- Loq. "Our secure data storage units are now ready to be produced and delivered to customers around the world. Several large Swedish and international companies are already waiting to test the products, and we have signed agreements with suppliers and manufacturers", says Mikael Institoris, Loqware's managing director. The hard drives will be produced for market tests early in the second quarter. After the tests, commercial production will commence, and the products will be introduced on world markets, initially in Europe, the United States and Asia. The family includes the following products: LoqDrive 250 SP A portable hard drive equipped with a fingerprint scanner and Loqware's electronic lock. The unit is entirely platform-independent and can be connected to any computer, normally through the USB port. This is a product for those who have very high data storage security requirements and yet want to remain mobile. Loqdrive 525 SCR A storage unit with the same functionality as the 250 SP that can be built into a PC. It fits into one of the computer's 5.25" EIDE drive bays and is intended for those who need a high level of data security on their stationary PC and a high-capacity hard drive. Loqdrive 350 SCR A smaller variant of the 525 SCR. Fits into a 3.5" EIDE drive. LoqReader 100S A small external log-in unit which reads the user's fingerprint. Together with the encryption key that comes with the package it provides secure protection for data stored on portable and stationary computers. The log-in unit replaces passwords and locks the hard drive so that the information becomes inaccessible to unauthorised persons. LoqReader 100S is suitable for those who want a flexible and simple yet secure protection for their computer.
