Tech alum, investment advisor to speak at Louisiana Tech Marbury Lecture Series
RUSTON, La – Louisiana Tech University College of Business alum Bobby J. Conville, Jr., senior vice president of investments for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC, will present the fifth annual Marbury Lecture on Tuesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. in the CenturyTel Auditorium at Louisiana Tech’s College of Business.
The lecture, open to all Louisiana Tech students and the public, is part of the annual William Ardis Marbury, Jr. & Virginia Lomax Marbury Lecture Series hosted by the College of Business and Cedar Creek School.
Prior to his lecture on the evening, Conville will make a presentation at Cedar Creek School at 9:00 a.m to Cedar Creek High School Students, Future Business Leaders Club members and to all faculty members of the Lincoln Parish Schools.
“As a life-long resident of the Ruston/Lincoln Parish area, and a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, I am honored to speak at the Marbury Lecture Series, so named for the couple that I counted as dear friends and admired as fellow business people,” Conville said. “I am very grateful for the excellent educational opportunities afforded me and for the wonderful folks in the Ruston business community and the population in general that make Ruston a great place to live and work.”

Conville serves as the Senior Vice President of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC which was formerly A.G. Edwards & Sons. His career spans 38 years in the financial services industry. Conville received his business degree from Louisiana Tech University and is active in various local civic and charitable organizations.
The William Ardis Marbury, Jr. & Virginia Lomax Marbury Lecture Series began in 2006 and is named after William Ardis Marbury, Jr. and his wife Virginia. The pair, both Louisiana Tech graduates, established William A. Marbury & Company, Inc., a managing general insurance agency. This corporation grew to be the largest agency in Louisiana, and one of the largest in the South.
