Lumens introduces Fabien Dumas’ Tam Tam Collection for Marset

The Tam Tam Pendant comes configured as one central shade circled by either three or five smaller shades, and is also available as a single wall sconce. Dumas’ playful and innovative design is further customizable with a choice colors that includes green, white, sand, orange, brown and black, letting the customer mix or match colors as desired.
For the shape of Tam Tam, designer Fabien Dumas, who cites modernism and the Bauhaus as stylistic influences, was inspired by kids playing bongos in the park near his Berlin flat. He describes the Tam Tam as expressing “organized chaos”: “While the overall appearance may evoke a sense chaos, the function remains quite obvious and simple. Within a minute you understand how it works and what it can do.” Dumas collaborated with Marset on the design, a Spanish contemporary lighting manufacturer with a global reach, they offer a collection of innovative lighting designs that express meaningful simplicity and a restrained approach, favoring technical precision and creativity in production.
