PP Pension is now set to complete its migration to the Lumera pensions administration platform. Through this project, Lumera has also broadened its offering by adding support for defined benefit plans.

Stockholm, October 23, 2025 – Lumera, a leading insurtech company dedicated to the digital transformation of the European Life and Pensions industry, is now embarking on the final phase of its multi-year implementation project for PP Pension, which administers occupational pensions for employees in the Swedish media industry, working with implementation partner Future Core Cloud (FCC).

During the final phase, defined benefit insurance plans are migrated from PP Pension's in-house developed legacy applications to the Lumera platform. This migration is enabled by a joint development effort by Lumera and FCC, which also entails that Lumera is broadening its offering, primarily for the Swedish market.

“Our collaboration with Lumera and Future Core Cloud has made great progress, bringing us business benefits both on the revenue and cost side. A modern, unified application support provides more efficient administration while facilitating regulatory compliance. We are also empowered by market-leading tools for enhancing our offering through further digitalisation, for the benefit of employers and our savers,” says Kjell Norling, CEO, PP Pension.

Within the coming months, PP Pension will be able to manage its entire portfolio comprising defined-premium and defined-benefit insurance policies using the Lumera platform.

“Our eminent partnership with PP Pension and Future Core Cloud will have a significant and lasting market impact, as it demonstrates how our SaaS solution can serve as a model for future initiatives. For Lumera, this implementation represents a breakthrough, as our platform has proved capable of managing both defined-premium and defined-benefit plans in a unified environment,” says Jonas Alfredson, CEO, Lumera Group.

In addition to Lumera's policy administration platform, the PP Pension solution also includes Internet Office and Analytic Work applications provided by FCC – all delivered as-a-service. Corporate and individual clients now get access to all their insurance information through PP Pension's Internet Office. For PP Pension, this means reduced operational costs and savings from phasing out legacy systems.

“We look forward to the imminent completion of the implementation project for PP Pension. It has the potential to serve as a model for other savings and insurance managers who are evaluating SaaS as a delivery model for their most critical enterprise systems. Together with Lumera, we can now provide a reliable and future-proof solution suited to their needs, says Lena Mahlberg, CEO, Future Core Cloud.
