OSTBYE ACQUIRES EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO SHIMMERING DIAMONDS®
Minneapolis, MN - A favorite of luxury jewelry shoppers, the Shimmering Diamonds® collection has recently been acquired by Ostbye, one of the leading manufacturers of bridal and fashion jewelry in the United States. Previously offered by Stuckey Diamonds, Shimmering Diamond® jewels are best known for their unusual setting technique – one that allows for maximum light return and movement – that greatly increases sparkle.
“We are very excited to keep the Shimmering Diamonds® brand alive,” says Craig McBean, President, Ostbye. “Since the collection’s debut five years ago, it has been a favorite among customers and fine independent retailers, and we intend to preserve and grow the brand going forward.”
Featuring smaller .03-.10 point diamonds set in 14 karat gold, the collection’s concept is based on light and movement. Instead of traditional bezel or prong settings, each diamond contains a tiny, laser-drilled hole that is mounted on a thin wire. Often showcased on stands near small fans, or worn by employees on the selling floor, the diamonds capture an en tremblent quality that intensifies fire and scintillation.
Ostbye will offer about 80 styles of Shimmering Diamonds® earrings and pendants with prices starting at $349 retail. Keeping continuity in mind, the same style numbers and diamond qualities previously offered by Stuckey Diamonds will remain consistent. All styles, with the exception of 7285/7585 series and 7312/7612 series are available. Ostbye will develop and market new styles in the future to keep the collection fresh and exciting.
