LYNDON DESIGN TEAMS UP WITH MARK GABBERTAS TO UNVEIL ‘FRAMED’ COLLECTION
A stunning new upholstered seating collection from Lyndon Design - the leading manufacturer of upholstered handcrafted furniture for commercial interiors - is making its debut at this year’s 100% Design. A joint collaboration with award-winning designer Mark Gabbertas, Lyndon Design’s latest collection, Framed, is designed to bring the utmost level of comfort and sophistication to the hospitality, leisure and corporate office environments.
Available as an armchair and compact sofa, Framed features a hardwood solid oak or American black walnut timber frame that provides a distinctive aesthetic. The frame has been skilfully designed and sculpted to hug the luxurious internal upholstery; a black powder-coated steel sub-structure within the timber construction enhances the collection’s level of quality and strength. It also adds an intended visual dynamic to create a marked contrast to the timber frame detailing.
The superior level of comfort of Framed is achieved through the use of foam and fibre seat and back cushions coupled to a coiled micro spring under seat composition that gives the collection its ‘live feel’. Framed can also be specified in any fabric or leather option, whilst pinch stitch detailing completes the appeal of this striking collection.

Mark Gabbertas adds: “Framed uses a profiled wooden frame to carry relaxed, unstructured cushions, and thus takes a less formal approach compared to the other collaborations with the Lyndon Design portfolio. This is an exercise in achieving just the right balance between structure and non-structure.”
The launch of Framed forms part of a series of recent design collaborations with Mark Gabbertas that include a line-up of table and seating collections. This latest development harnesses the design visions of Mark Gabbertas with the renowned quality craftsmanship of Lyndon Design, and pays testimony to the company’s ambitious growth plans and commitment to innovative product design
