LYNDON DESIGN UNVEILS STRIKING NEW TABLE COLLECTIONS BY MARK GABBERTAS
Lyndon Design - the leading manufacturer of upholstered handcrafted furniture for commercial interiors – and award-winning furniture designer, Mark Gabbertas, have teamed up to create two exciting new collections of occasional tables. A significant milestone in Lyndon’s portfolio development history, the creations represent the company’s first venture into this furniture category and mark the 30th anniversary of Lyndon, now part of the prominent Boss Design Group.
The new Triad and Metro table collections provide a perfect compliment to Lyndon’s expansive ranges of upholstered seating and sofas that are widely specified throughout the hospitality and leisure sectors. Now poised to further expand into the retail and corporate sectors, these latest collections are testimony to Lyndon’s ambitious growth plans and commitment to innovative product design.
Commenting on the collaborative furniture venture, Mark Gabbertas said: ''Our objective was to create table designs that display elegance and enduring appeal, and that have character through their simplicity. I was motivated by the potential of combining the woodworking expertise of Lyndon with this design approach.”

Oozing appeal, the Triad occasional table collection features a bold yet elegant three splayed-leg design arrangement that cleverly unites a circular table-top with square edge detail.
Each of the three tables incorporate an unusual ‘dish-effect’ courtesy of a 7mm bull-nose recess designed to ensure that items stay on the top surface – a practical and elegant design detail perfect for commercial applications. Available in three heights, Triad comes in Black American Walnut and European Oak and for an exciting alternative finish, the top may be specified in co-ordinating solid timber or 22mm textured white lacquer.
The Metro collection of three different sized occasional tables takes its inspiration from several existing ranges that are modular in design to form ‘cube’ arrangements giving a wide range of layout options with striking design appeal.
Directly complementing several of Lyndon’s seating collections – namely Agent, Keats, Luge, Edgar and Elbow - this new range is also available in popular finishes, Black American Walnut and European Oak. To further emphasise Lyndon’s refined aesthetic appeal, Metro pieces all come in an impressive show-wood finish that is complemented by a glass top in a range of colourways.
