NVOCC Announces Import Service from Genoa

RED BANK, NJ (Jan. 20, 2014) – Troy Container Line, one of the world’s largest American-owned NVOCCs, has announced an improved express service from Genoa, Italy to New York.  Along with its partner Combi Line International Spa, the companies will now offer a 10-day transit from Genoa in addition to pick-ups throughout Italy.  The recent announcement, along with its export consolidation services to Italy, solidifies Troy’s standing as a full service provider in this region.

Chris Hellow, COO of Imports, worked closely with Maurizio Briglia, of Combi Lines International Spa, to expedite transit times and enhance service capabilities in this market.  The NVOCC’s presence in Italy further supports its mission of offering the industry’s most competitive rates and transits to its international customer base.

“Troy Container Line is committed to cost-effective, efficient service,” commented Chris Hellow, Troy’s COO of Imports.  “Our knowledge and expertise of the importing process provides unrivaled service in this trade lane, giving clients access to door pick-ups throughout Italy as well as IPI services to more than 80 destinations throughout the United States.  We are excited to build upon our partnership with the Combi Line team on the Genoa service.”

Maurizio Briglia of Combi Line International Spa also added, "The relationship with Troy Container Line is solid and tested by several years of close cooperation which has allowed both companies to be reputed in the market as two highly specialized players in this specific trade lane.  In 2014, we expect to be able to offer a wider range of direct services thanks to the combined knowledge and experience of Troy Container Line and Combi Line.”

In addition to the launch of this new import service, Troy Container Line’s export team offers express services to Italy on a weekly basis.  Overseen by COO of Exports Patricia Fitzgerald and Assistant Vice President Derrick Magee, LCL and FCL cargo from across the country is serviced on a weekly basis.  Troy’s network of more than 20 container freight stations throughout U.S., as well as the ability to offer door rates and pick-ups, creates an accessible and cost-effective gateway to this market.

“Our team works diligently to provide the industry’s best services at the most competitive costs to Italy,” commented Patricia Fitzgerald, COO of Exports at Troy Container Line.  “Our direct import service from Genoa expands upon our already strong presence in this marketplace and gives clients the ease of knowing they can call on an experienced team in both Troy and Combi Line when shipping to and from Italy.”

Magee added, “Building upon our strong foundation in this market is an incredible benefit to our clients.  Accessible, user-friendly, web-based capabilities, coupled with our unwavering commitment to personalized service, truly gives our customers a strategic advantage when moving cargo to and from Italy.”

As an NVOCC, Troy Container Line celebrates a nearly 30-year tradition of offering the utmost in personalized service and care.  The company anticipates continued demand as a full service provider to and from Italy, and will continue to develop services in trade lanes across the world.
