M2S divides German operations

M2S divides German operations Following the acquisition of Prokoda AG in May 2000, several steps have been taken with the purpose of integrating Prokoda into M2S's German and international operations. The process of integration is now entering its final phase and, as part of this, operations in Germany will be divided between instructor-led and e-learning operations. The two operations will be divided into separate legal entities in order to bring about an increased focus within each. The new structure is scheduled for completion by the end of June 2001. The business models for these two operations are different and in order to be able to develop them in the best manner possible, a refinement of each will now take place. The new structure creates possibilities for a further developmental step in the instructor-led operations through various forms of cooperation, such as an alliance, a joint venture or, alternatively, through divestment. M2S has therefore initiated a process to determine the best strategic option for the instructor-led operation. It is foreseen that a decision relative to what strategic option will be chosen will be communicated at the latest during the third quarter 2001. The instructor-led operation has approximately 110 employees located in 11 major cities throughout Germany.
