M2S secures order in Spain valued at SEK 2.7 M M2S's Spanish subsidiary has secured an order valued at SEK 2.7 M from the government of the semi-autonomous Basque region. The Basque government has the goal of training the inhabitants of the region in IT and will now, as a first step, train its own staff in the cities of Vitoria, San Sebastian and Bilbao. The Basque government has the goal of introducing interactive education to the people of the region. As a first step, an order has been placed with M2S's Spanish subsidiary for the interactive education of the government's employees. The order concerns standard training in Office 2000 and Internet 2000. Delivery, which took place in March 2001, provides government employees in Vitoria, San Sebastian and Bilbao access to the courses via the intranet. "In the Nordic countries, and particularly in Sweden, significant efforts have been made during a large part of the 1990s to raise the general level of computer literacy. We now see clear evidence of a similar development taking place in other European countries and, naturally, it is pleasing for us to be part of this process as in this case," comments Harald Nilsonne, CEO M2S Sverige AB.
