AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS, 29 January 2013 -- Magenta Research, a recognised leader in Pro AV signal switching, extension and distribution will utilise ISE 2013 (booth #11-C84) to introduce new additions to its Voyager, MultiView and HD-One core product ranges as part of a complete, end-to-end solution for fibre and UTP-based signal switching and distribution.

Voyager Series Additions

Magenta’s fully digital Voyager Series of fibre-optic based products, which began shipping in 2011, extend, switch and distribute video (including HDCP protected content) and auxiliary signals digitally over fibre-optic cable.

The new Voyager 4-port core (now shipping) can serve as the heart of any transmitter or receiver and opens up an additional sphere of distribution options – use as a 1x4 distribution amplifier, as a 4x1 switch or as a daisy-chainable receiver with the ability to route signals in four different directions. The Voyager four-port core is also a key component in enabling Voyager matrix switching solutions up to 640 ports.

Also new (and now shipping) is the Voyager HDMI-SRx ScaleMax™ scaling receiver module. This component is ideal for applications that feature a mix of source video resolutions, and/or a mix of “native” display resolutions. Compatible with all incoming resolutions supported by Voyager, it scales the video signal to a wide variety of output resolutions, including 1920x1200. Incorporating CORIO®2 scaling technology developed by Magenta’s sister company TV One, the HDMI/DVI compatible SRx maintains aspect ratio and embedded audio, is HDCP compliant, converts between RGB and YPbPr colour space, and delivers a pristine image free from artifacts.

MultiView Series Additions

For over 15 years, Magenta’s MultiView Series has served as the definitive solution for extending, distributing and switching Pro A/V signals over UTP cable. Boasting a building-block approach, MultiView-based solutions can adapt to thousands of screens and span distances of 610 metres, all while offering switching options from 16x16 to 256x512.

The re-engineered MultiView II lineup of products (STx, XRTx, DVI-Tx and T4 transmitters, plus the AK600, AK1200 and DVI-Rx1K receivers) all boast a new, external configuration scheme and status LEDs, updated and improved EDID & DDC modes of operation and improved sync control, all designed to make replicating 1080p (and higher) resolution video easier than ever before. The addition of the DVI-Tx and DVI-Rx1K products also allow end-to-end support of DVI-D digital video in MultiView and Mondo Matrix applications, to distances of 305 metres. The entire MultiView II lineup is now available from Magenta, with the DVI-RX1k expected to be released early in the second quarter of 2013.

HD-One Series Additions

Having developed a reputation for plug-and-play ease of use along with superior replication quality, Magenta’s HD-One Series now includes the HD-One DX500 – which provides UTP-based HDMI video (with HDCP) and embedded audio extension over a single cable to 152 metres – and the HD-One LX500, which adds support for two-way IR and RS-232 signals. In addition to their extended reach, HD-One500 products are engineered to use less power, dissipate less heat, and offer significantly better emission and susceptibility performance than HD-BaseT products.

HD-One DX500 and HD-One LX500 kits are now available from Magenta.
