JV between Magnolia Bostad and Slättö acquires land in Barkarbystaden, Stockholm

The JV, which was formed in October 2019, has signed an agreement to acquire land in Barkarbystaden, Stockholm. The JV plans to develop the property of about 23,000 sq.m. GFA, distributed over 350 residential units.

The property is located in the area of Barkarbystaden II and has a zoning plan in force. The acquisition is taking place as a corporate transaction and the seller is one of the JV partners Slättö Core+ which in turn acquired the property and company from Skanska in 2019.

Barkarbystaden is a rapidly expanding district with good communications, close to nature and recreational opportunities. The travel time to Stockholm Central Station is just over 15 minutes by commuter train.
In future, the area will further benefit from improved communications due to the ongoing subway project.

This will be the sixth development property to be included in the JV. The ambition with the JV is to carry out further acquisitions in future.
