Magnolia Bostad has acquired land in Sundbyberg for the development of Ursviks Torn
During June Magnolia Bostad acquired land in Ursvik, Sundbyberg for the development of Ursviks Torn, which will consist of around 180 residential units of about 10,500 m2 GFA and about 370 m2 for commercial premises. The number of acquired building rights was included in the reported number of building rights in Magnolia Bostad's half-year report.
The acquisition of the property Sundbyberg 2:187 took place through a corporate transaction, and the seller is Hökerum Bygg. The property has a zoning plan in force and construction is expected to begin in Q1 2022.
Ursviks Torn will consist of a high-rise building of 14 floors, three smaller buildings that range from two to seven floors above ground, 70 parking spaces and a number of shops. The apartments will be built to a high standard and consist of studio flats to 3-bedroom apartments with an average size of 45.2 m2.
In recent years, Ursvik has been one of the largest urban development areas in Stockholm. Ursvik borders directly on Stockholm municipality in the north and northwest, Solna municipality in the east and Enköpingsvägen, with extensive commercial premises, in the south. Järvafältet and Igelbäcken nature reserves are in the immediate vicinity and offer recreational areas. Upon completion of the final stages of development, the entire area will be interconnected and transformed into a green neighbourhood with a local square and other types of services and amenities. The E18 motorway is directly accessible from the area, which is also close to public transport.
“It’s great that we’ve been able to acquire additional land in Ursvik. We are already developing Brygghuset and Parstugan in the area, which consist of 580 residential units. Our intention is to certify all buildings in accordance with the Swedish Green Building Council’s silver certification and at the same time make Ursviks Torn a landmark,” says Björn Bergman, Eastern Regional Director, Magnolia Bostad.
Wigge & Partners helped Magnolia Bostad in the acquisition process.
