Magnolia Bostad is awarded land allotment in Motala for development of a residential care facility

The municipality of Motala har awarded Svenska Vårdfastigheter, a part of Magnolia Bostad, a land allotment in the area Mossen in central Motala. The land allotment concerns the property Mossenskolan 3 and comprises approximately 4 650 sqm of land. The company intends to develop a new residential care facility of 54 apartments. 

Mossen is located in central Motala and is mainly a residential area close to shops and with a biking distances to the city center and Varamobaden.

In Motala municipality there is a great need for new residential care apartments. In March 2017, the municipal council decided to designate a lot in the Mossenskolan district of central Motala for the construction of a residential care facility. Svenska Vårdfastigheter submitted an offer and in November 2017 the company was awarded the land allotment as well as a  cooperative agreement and lease agreement.

Tenants will be Motala municipality's elderly care business and the property will be built in line with ”Miljöbyggnad Silver”. Local plan has has been approved and occupancy is expected to take place in mid-year 2019.
