Magnolia Bostad to build two additional blocks in Mariastaden, Helsingborg
Magnolia Bostad has won a land allocation competition for Mariastaden, Helsingborg. The land allocation, with a total area of over 19,000 sqm, refers to the construction of over 300 rental apartments spread over two blocks.
Magnolia Bostad’s proposal for the second phase of the Maria station area has been developed in cooperation with C.F. Møller. It aims at creating a vibrant neighbourhood with urban qualities as well as closeness to nature. The proposal includes two new blocks, Arkeologen 1 and Antikvarien 1. The new homes will contribute to a vivid and varied city environment that is sustainable from a financial, social and environmental point of view. Construction is planned to start in 2016.
– Earlier this year, Magnolia Bostad was awarded a land allocation for 287 rental apartments in Mariastaden, which we develop for Alecta, the final owner of the apartments. I am proud and pleased that the Helsingborg Municipality has chosen to give us the confidence to design and develop an additional 300 new homes in this new and exciting neighbourhood, says Fredrik Lidjan, CEO of Magnolia Bostad.
