Magnolia Bostad wins land allocation competition in Örebro
The land allocation concerns part of the Almby 11:148 property and comprises around 10,000 m2 of GFA where Magnolia Bostad plans to develop about 180 residential units.
The property is located in Örebro's new smart residential area Tamarinden, in Sörbyängen about 2.5 kilometers south of Örebro city center with proximity to universities, schools, grocery stores, public service and scenic surroundings. The Tamarinden becomes a neighborhood characterized by smart solutions. The vision is that the buildings in Tamarinden will be able to reduce, produce, store and share energy in a way that has never been done before.
The property has a zoning plan in force and the production start process is expected to take place during the second half of 2021, with estimated occupancy about two years later.
The project will be designed as a multi-dwelling house on four floors in two blocks and a garage. The neighborhood gets a design with a clear own identity that fits in with the overall design concept of Tamarinden. The courtyeards will be green and should be used for social functions, such as social areas, barbecue areas and cultivation. The proposal also includes a well thought-out mobility concept with the vision that more residents in Tamarinden ride a bicycle and travel collectively and fewer take the car.
