Magnolia Bostad wins land allocation competition in Skellefteå
The land allocation concerns part of the Skellefteå 5:1 property and comprises around 21,000 m2 of GFA. Magnolia Bostad plans to develop about 300 residential units with various forms of tenure.
The property is located in Västra Erikslid about 1 km north of central Skellefteå, adjacent to Västra Eriksberg. The area has a very favourable location with direct proximity to both the outdoor area Vitberget and Erikslid's centre and there are good bus connections with central Skellefteå. Västra Erikslid is the first to be developed for Skellefteå's new large residential area with apartment buildings.
The property has a zoning plan in force and the production start process is expected to take place during the second half of 2020, with estimated occupancy about one year later.
The project will be designed as multi-dwelling properties in wood with a mix of detached houses and houses built in a neighbourhood structure. The vision is to create a sustainable society with diversity, community and security. The winning contribution has been developed together with Derome as the turnkey contractor and Liljewall Arkitekter.
