Golf tournament to feature Rollie Fingers, Bobby Grich, Jim Leyritz and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a Swing with the Legends golf tournament to benefit Kindervision, a charity focused on child safety education. The event will take place on Monday, January 27th, 2014.

Alumni players attending* the event include Hall of Famer Rollie Fingers, Bobby Grich, Jim Leyritz, David Anderson, John Andrews, Ollie Brown, Mike Burns, Chris Donnels, Al Downing, Mike Fitzgerald, Dave Frost, Ike Hampton, Aaron Hicks, Paul Jaeckel, Jay Johnstone, Kenny Landreaux, Mike Lee, Jim Lentine, Fred Lynn, Tom Murphy, Carl Nichols, John “Blue Moon” Odom, Gregg Olson, Phil Ouellette, Rick Sawyer, James Scranton, Don Slaught, Steve Springer and Derrel Thomas.

The tournament will take place at Sea Cliff Country Club, starting with registration at 8:30 a.m. located at 6501 Palm Ave., Huntington Beach, CA 92648. There will be a $10,000 putting contest at 9:30 a.m., with the shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. followed by a VIP reception, dinner and live auction beginning at 6:00 p.m.
