Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Chino Hills, CA
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Saturday, February 11th, 2017. The free clinic features current and former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include 20-year veteran and owner of 1,254 hits Jay Johnstone, as well as Paul Abbott, Mike Burns, Joey Dawley, Mike Gallo, Paul Jaeckel, Phil Ouellette and Jerry Spradlin. These eight players combine for 50 seasons, 2,462 games, 1,264 hits and 68 wins in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Chino Hills Community Park, running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., located at 3280 Eucalyptus Ave. Chino Hills, CA 91709. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
