Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Charlevoix, MI
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Sunday, June 11th, 2017. The free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include 1984 World Series champion and two-time All-Star Darrell Evans and 1968 World Series Champion and All-Star John Hiller, as well as Tom Davey, Scott Kamieniecki, Bruce Look, Roger Mason, Bob Randall, Dennis Rasmussen and Geoff Zahn. These nine players combine for 90 seasons, 4,907 games, 371 wins and 2,658 hits in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Shanahan Field, running from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., located at 12491 Waller Rd., Charlevoix, MI 49720. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
