Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Colorado Springs, CO
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017. The free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include 1981 National League Comeback Player of the Year Bob Knepper, who placed second in ERA in the National League in 1981 and eight-year MLB veteran Mark Knudson, as well as Geno Espineli, Dave Hajek, Gary Krug and Tim Olson. These six players combine for 29 seasons, 652 games and 138 hits in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Spurgeon Field at Memorial Park, running from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., located at 1315 East Pikes Peak Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, baserunning and life skills. Registration will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the evening will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
