Free youth baseball clinic to feature Charles Gipson, Brad Pennington and Brian Tollberg

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Spanish youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth Clinic Series. The MLBPAA’s first trip to Spain since the Legends for Youth Clinic Series inception will feature MLB veterans Charles Gipson, Brad Pennington and Brian Tollberg. Gipson spent eight seasons in the major leagues as an outfielder, pinch runner and third baseman playing for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Houston Astros. Pennington is a left-handed pitcher who spent his five years in the MLB between the Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, California Angels and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and has traveled to Legends for Youth clinics abroad in the past. Former San Diego Padres right-handed pitcher Tollberg played four years in the majors. These three players combine for 17 seasons and 505 games in Major League Baseball.

The clinics and autograph sessions will take place across the country at various venues, between Friday, July 13 and Thursday, July 19. Clinicians will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills for approximately 200 local youth ages 6-16 at each event.
