Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Victoria, British Columbia

Free youth baseball clinic to feature Shawn Chacon and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Thursday, July 19th, 2018. The free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.

Players attending* include All-Star Shawn Chacon, Victoria HarbourCats head coach Brian McRae and Victoria HarbourCats assistant coach Todd Haney, as well as James Lofton. These four players combine for 24 seasons, 545 RBI and 1,732 games in Major League Baseball.

The clinic will take place at Royal Athletic Park, home of the Victoria HarbourCats, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., located at 1014 Caledonia Ave., Victoria, BC V8T 1E8, Canada. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, baserunning and life skills. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the morning will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
