Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Philadelphia, NY

Free youth baseball clinic to feature three-time All-Star Jon Matlack

Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Friday, August 9th, 2019. In conjunction with Joel R. Davis Legacy for Youth Sports Group, the free clinic features former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons, concluding with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.

Players attending* include 1972 National League Rookie of the Year and three-time All-Star Jon Matlack, as well as four-year MLB veteran Steve Grilli and former Syracuse Mets infielder Jose Lozada. These three players combine for 17 seasons and 431 games in Major League Baseball.

  • Time: Clinic check-in beginning at 2:30 p.m. with instruction running from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
