Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Brings Legends for Youth Baseball Clinic Series to Huntington Beach, CA
Free youth baseball clinic to feature Jay Johnstone, Danny Tartabull and other MLB Alumni
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Local youth will have an opportunity to play with their big league heroes at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) Legends for Youth baseball clinic series on Sunday, January 31st, 2016. The free clinic features current and former Major League Baseball players who will teach baseball skills, drills and life lessons for approximately 200 local youth.
Players attending* include two-time World Series Champion Jay Johnstone and 1991 American League All-Star Danny Tartabull, as well Jim Anderson, Dave Frost, Mike Gallo, Chris Gomez, Lorenzo Gray, Paul Jaeckel, Mike Lee, Phil Ouellette, Gary Ryerson, Jerry Turner and Chris Wakeland. These thirteen players combine for 85 seasons, 6,204 games and 4,521 hits in Major League Baseball.
The clinic will take place at Ocean View High School, running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., located at 17071 Gothard Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the afternoon will conclude with an autograph session and baseball giveaways for children in attendance.
