Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Hosts Joe Maddon "Rally in the Valley" Golf Classic in Hazleton, PA

Golf tournament to feature Scott McGregor, Don Wert and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will host a celebrity golf tournament featuring former MLB All-Stars, World Series champions and other alumni. The event will take place on Thursday, October 9th with proceeds benefitting the Joe Maddon’s Hazleton Integration Project.

Alumni players attending* the event include All-Star Scott McGregor and 1968 World Series champion Don Wert, as well as Andy Ashby, Al Bumbry, Doug Clemens, Jim Coates, Doug Creek, Jack Fisher, Kevin Gryboski, Rick Krivda, Dickie Noles, Jason Phillips, Rich Surhoff, Will Royster, Garett Stephenson, Fred Valentine and current Tampa Bay Rays manager, Joe Maddon.

The tournament will take place at the Valley Golf Club, starting with registration at 11:00 a.m. located at 79 Country Club Lane, Sugarloaf, PA 18249. The event will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. followed by an awards dinner and auction at 6:30 p.m.
