Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association to Host Alumni Day Series at Diamondbacks' Chase Field
Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) will be hosting an Alumni Day event prior to the Diamondbacks-Giants series finale at Chase Field on Sunday, June 22st, 2014. The event will bring together approximately 50 former MLB players in Phoenix and the surrounding area.
The Alumni Day series was started in 2013 with the purpose of reconnecting members of the MLBPAA to former teammates and friends, as well as re-engaging former players in their community. Last year, eight Alumni Day events were held in San Diego, Miami, Milwaukee, Anaheim, Baltimore, New York, Phoenix and Boston, reaching more than 200 former players. This year, the series will expand to ten Major League clubs.
The event will take place at the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Chase Field, located at 401 E Jefferson St., Phoenix, AZ 85004, starting with a reception at 11:30 a.m. Following the reception, guests will attend the Diamondbacks game against the San Francisco Giants at 1:10 p.m. This is a private event.
