MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO HOST CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT IN HARRISBURG, PA

Event to feature Brooks Robinson, Bill Mazeroski, Jim Rice, Rollie Fingers and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a “Swing with the Legends” golf tournament to benefit the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation. The event, taking place on September 24th and 25th, will feature 40 retired MLB Hall of Famers, All-Stars, former Phillies, Pirates, and World Series champions.

Celebrities attending include Brooks Robinson, Bill Mazeroski, Jim Rice, Rollie Fingers, Cal Ripken Jr., Mike Bielecki, Brian Boehringer, Frank Bolick, Larry Christenson, Doug Creek, Jim Coates, Wayne Gomes, Tommy Green, Kevin Gryboski, Jack Fisher, Ron Hansen, Kevin Harvick, Ken Henderson, Tom Herr, Chris Hoiles, Randy Hundley, Dave Johnson, Steve Kline, Rob Mackowiak, Ross Moschitto, Dickie Noles, Claude Osteen, Jimmy Patsos, Jason Phillips, Desi Relaford, Steve Rogers, Will Royster, Tony Saunders, Bob Shirley, Don Stanhouse, Bill Swaggerty, Fred Valentine, and Don Wert.

The event will begin on Tuesday, September 24th with a welcome reception from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The reception will be held at Level 2 Restaurant located at 215 N 2nd Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. On Wednesday, September 25th, there will be a celebrity golf tournament beginning with registration at 9:30 a.m. Tee-off will start at 11:00 a.m. followed by a silent auction and dinner program, beginning at 5:00 p.m. The golf tournament will be hosted by the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club, located at 4901 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
