MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO HOST CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT IN HAVRE DE GRACE, MD
Event to feature Al Bumbry, Steve Rogers, Bobby Shantz, Dickie Noles and other MLB Alumni
Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a “Swing with the Legends” golf tournament to benefit the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation. The event, taking place on September 27th, will feature retired MLB All-Stars, former Orioles, and World Series champions.
Celebrities attending include Al Bumbry, Steve Rogers, Bobby Shantz, Dickie Noles, Mike Bielecki, Jim Coates, Doug Creek, Ross Grimsley, Ron Hansen, Dave Johnson, Brian Kowitz, Tippy Martinez, Ross Moschitto, Don Stanhouse, Garrett Stephenson, Bill Swaggerty, Fred Valentine and Don Wert.
The event will begin on Friday, September 27th with celebrity registration 8:00 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 10:00 a.m. The tournament will be held at Bulle Rock Golf Club located at 320 Blenheim Road, Havre de Grace, MD 21078. Following the tournament, there will be a cocktail reception beginning at 3:00 p.m. and a dinner with awards, prizes, and a silent auction. The dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m.
