MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL PLAYERS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION TO HOST LEGENDS FOR YOUTH CLINIC, CELEBRITY GAME AND GOLF TOURNAMENT IN PALM COAST, FL

Event to feature Fergie Jenkins, Rollie Fingers, Mark Whiten and other MLB Alumni

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a Legends for Youth Clinic, celebrity baseball game, Swing with the Legends golf tournament and dinner to benefit KinderVision. The event, taking place on September 28th through September 30th, will feature retired MLB Hall of Famers, All-Stars, Cy Young Award winners and World Series champions.

Celebrities attending include Fergie Jenkins, Rollie Fingers, Mark Whiten, Jim Perry, Darrell Evans, Jim Leyritz, Butch Benton, Jack Brandt, Denny Doyle, Craig Eaton, Bob Floyd, Tim Foli, Ken Frailing, John Fulgham, Bill Hurst, Darold Knowles, Tim Leary, Eddie Looper, Andy McGaffigan, Ross Moschitto, Steve Ratzer, Rich Schienblum, Pete Smith, Roy Smith, John Stephens, Gene Walter and Jon Warden.

The event will begin on Saturday, September 28th with the Legends for Youth clinic. The clinic will take place at the Daytona Cubs’ Jackie Robinson Ballpark from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. located at 105 E. Orange Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Alumni players will train at stations including pitching, catching, base running and life skills. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. The afternoon will conclude with an autograph session for children in attendance. The clinic will be followed by a celebrity baseball game, also held at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Gates will open for the game at 5:00 p.m. and the game will begin at 6:00 p.m. On Sunday, September 29th, there will be a guest and player reception at the Club at Hammock Beach followed by a dinner. The reception will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the dinner following at 7:00 p.m. The Club at Hammock Beach is located at 200 Ocean Crest Drive, Palm Coast, FL 32137. The golf tournament will begin Monday, September 30th with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. There will be a putting contest at 8:45 a.m. and shotgun start will be at 9:00 a.m. The tournament will be followed by an awards luncheon and buffet at 2:00 p.m. The tournament will be held at Ocean Course at Hammock Beach located at 105 16th Road E., Palm Coast, FL 32137.
