The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA) was formed in 1982 in order to promote the game of baseball, raise money for charity, inspire and educate youth through positive sport images and protect the dignity of the game through former players. A nonprofit organization, the MLBPAA establishes a place where a player's drive for excellence and achievement on the field can continue long after they take their last steps off the professional diamond.

$5 From Each Ticket Purchased to Celebrity Softball Game Will Benefit Pikes Peak Community Foundation & Victims of the Black Forest FireColorado Springs, CO – The Colorado Springs Sky Sox, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MLBPAA), Memorial Hospital and CenturyLink, have announced that the previously named Waldo Canyon Classic has been renamed as the Heroes Classic. In addition, the club has also announced that for each ticket purchased for the event on Saturday, June 22, five dollars will be donated to the Pikes Peak Community Foundation to assist
